The QCHP is the sole authority responsible for the regulation of all healthcare practitioners working in both the government and private healthcare sectors in Qatar. The Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) works to protect the health and safety of the citizens and residents of Qatar by ensuring that all licensed healthcare practitioners are competent and fit to practice.

Primary Source Verification (PSV) is the act of verifying the applicant documents directly from the original or primary source by a specialized international company called “Dataflow”. Verification will be for educational certificates, experience, health license and good standing certificate.

Why is PSV necessary?

PSV is done to detect any non-genuine certificate so that QHCP can ensure that the professionals practicing in the Kingdom is legitimate and qualified. PSV is the process through which Qatar validates information in the certificates from the institution that originally issued the credential (e.g. authenticity of educational degrees). This is done through Qatar’s partnership with Dataflow group. All health professionals must undergo the PSV process upon initial application for license or license renewal (for licensed health professionals whose qualifications had not previously undergone PSV). Each document has to be verified only once. Health professionals may be required to repeat the PSV process for verification of newly acquired credentials (e.g. Acquisition of new educational degree).
